For over 100 years, the Stinson Ole House stood between Columbiana and Wilsonville. Built in the 1840s by the Hugh Acey Mack Stinson family, it served as home to at least three generations of the Stinson family until 1946. Today, the house is part of the Hoover Historical Society Folklore Center on the campus of Bluff Park Elementary School. Join the Shelby County Historical Society as we visit the Stinson Ole Place and experience life in Alabama in the 1840s, before electricity and running water.
